What age will my housemates be?
We have young people aged between 18 and 30 in our place. On the whole we are students or young people here in the city on an internship or work placement.
I don’t want to get bored! Can I invite more friends?
Yes! You can invite friends, have meetings and have people round for dinner! Buenos Aires is a great city to have fun and our place is perfect to enjoy it all.
Which neighbourhood is the house in?
Location is essential for MY WAY COLIVING. We are in San Telmo, close to the city centre and Puerto Madero, with public transport links by bus and underground to the whole city. Once you get to know the area, you won’t want to leave! This happens to a lot of our colleagues.
Is there a curfew for coming home at night?
No! It’s your home. We said so! We give you a key and you can come and go as you please. That’s why we call it a shared home rather than a lodging or B&B. Buenos Aires and the San Telmo neighbourhood are fantastic places to stay out until late in a bar, so there’s no problem.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes. At MY WAY COLIVING there’s a deposit of ARS 2000 (Argentinian Pesos). This covers any potential breakages in your room or the shared areas.
Do I need to sign a contract?
Yes. You sign a contract for short term rental.
I made a mistake! Can I cancel after I’ve made a reservation?
Aaaaargh, we don’t refund reservations.
Er, is there refund on rent?
Er, no, we don’t refund rent (it’s a hassle to organise).
Okay, everything is sweet, but is there good public transport?
Local transport is excellent. 3 underground line. Over 20 bus routes. We’re in the most central part of Buenos Aires. Lots of young people choose to rent a room at our place because the area is really close to their university.
Will I have my own room or do I have to share?
You can choose if you want a single room or you want to share. If you do share, it would only be with someone of the same sex. If you don’t have someone you want to share with, we will look for someone to share with you and you’ll save money.
You can always change room if you want.
Will my room be furnished?
Yes. All the rooms are fully furnished.
Great, let’s get down to details, what forms of payment do you take? Credit card, Paypal, cash?
You can pay the deposit and rent by credit card, Paypal or cash. It’s up to you.
Okay… when do I need to let you know if I want to move out?
If you are renting a room, you need to let us know a month (30 days) before you leave. This means we can get organised and offer your room to another student coming to Buenos Aires!
